Celebrating 30 years Print Recipe Print Recipe

My husband and I have been together since we were 15 years old (minus a few years in college). That’s a lot of memories right there.

He turned 30 a few months back. The BIG 30. I really do appreciate him going first. I had asked many times what he’d like to do or what he might want. Brace yourself. The only thing he asked for… was a ridiculously expensive jump rope. I didn’t and still don’t get it.

Since that’s what he wanted, that’s what he got. But I wanted to do a little more.

I went behind his back and asked 30 of his closes friends, family and co-workers to write a memory or a story they had with Ben. Since most people waited until the last minute, I decided to hand write them (we don’t have a printer) all. On his birthday, I handed him a stack of 30 cards and once he opened the first few, he had the biggest smile plastered on his face.

Sometimes it’s just the little things (that don’t break the bank).

Since I couldn’t sign their names, I used a stamp set. I bought everything here at Paper Source. However, you can use any kind of stamp set.

30 hand-written notes. Yep.

Many were a two-sider. If you’re doing this for a bigger birthday or anniversary, you may want to consider people writing their own or typing it out.

I used a glitter pen to number each one. Again, purchased at Paper Source.

30 wishes for 30 years!

That’s a lot of memories and stories right there, folks.

… and some good laughs and even a few tears.

This is something you can do for any milestone birthday or anniversary. Let your creativity roll!

What a great idea! That is so very sweet and meaningful- much better than any “thing” you can buy. I am stealing this idea and saving it for my husband’s 50th in a few years. Thank you :)
