I have the Acer Intel Tablet and it’s super duper awesome. The picture quality, for starters is incredible and it’s easy to navigate with Windows 8. That’s coming from a someone who loves her mac, so that says a lot. It’s also saying a lot because that someone is rather technologically challenged…

It’s pretty sweet, guys. Take my word.

When I’m trying something new, I’ll prop the tablet up in the kitchen and use it to follow recipes, techniques or tutorials. Surprisingly (very surprising), I have yet to spill all over it.

Recently, I’ve been exploring the Everyday Food App, lots of beautiful and fresh dishes. I also love trying out recipes from other bloggers and friends. They sure make some awesome food. However, if I’m creating recipes, I’m old school. I have my notebook, pen, lots of scribbles and always, lots of food stains on the pages.

I have a feeling when our little guy gets old enough, his name will be all over this. I’m sure I won’t mind when we’re trekking cross country to grandma and grandpas and that’s what keeps him happy.

Back when feeding took years, I’d prop the tablet up on my lap and catch up on Downton Abbey.

It was like a little vacation.

Oh vacation. I could really use one of those right now. To bad this tablet can’t babysit and take care of my to do list…

My favorite appliance and the one I can’t live without is my blender – with a close second, my juicer! I use one or the other nearly every day between smoothies + juices.

((I’m a huge Downton Abbey fan too, just got into the show + am plowing through the seasons. So good!)

I have my mother’s 10 inch cast iron pan that I use at least once a week. It was seasoned by her and I keep it seasoned. It has fried chicken memories inside the pan so I always get complements when it is chicken for dinner.
