Healthy Mint Chip Milkshake
Print Recipe
I can’t stop. I just can’t.
Recently, it’s this and a side of fries. It’s the only thing that doesn’t give me heartburn.
Since I don’t need help in the calorie department these days, I’m making my own [lower calorie] shakes when possible. They seem to do the trick just fine!
Before my verrrrry different pregnancy appetite, I can’t tell you the last time I had a milkshake.
I have a limited selection of foods I’ll actually eat, vegetables not being one of them. With my craving for milkshakes, I thought I’d do my best to make it a bit more healthier, at least compared to the fast food options. I’ve only found one fast food chain, Burgerville which has the option of non-fat frozen yogurt instead of ice cream – less calories and fat. I don’t need help in that department.
Although I can handle dairy these days, I made this with coconut ice cream [non-dairy] and almond milk. If you can’t find this particular ice cream, try a vanilla no sugar added or a non fat and add a few chocolate chips.
