You already scrolled down, didn’t you?  It’s okay, I’d probably do the same.

The other day I had to have an ultrasound to check my appendix and also check on the baby, long story, but everything is okay – at the moment. While she was doing her thing, I asked if she could write the sex on a piece of paper and seal it, that way my husband could be apart of the gender reveal. He was already bummed he couldn’t be there, he’d KILL ME if I found out without him.

I wasn’t sure how to do this big reveal. I wanted to do it creatively, but didn’t have the time or the energy. Thanks to a few Facebook friends, they gave us this idea. I certainly can’t take credit for it.

When my husband got off work, we quickly jumped over to Nordstrom where we picked out both a girl and boy outfit, handed it to the saleswoman along with the envelope, plus our credit card and asked if she could wrap the outfit that matched the card.

I think she may have been more excited than we were.

We [very patiently] carried our bag to a nearby restaurant. I needed a milkshake.

I made Ben open it while I recorded him on my iPhone, which we later sent to our family. It’s slightly ridiculous because I got so caught up in the moment, I forgot I was filming and shot a lot of the table and corners of the box.  I then cried, I was so happy. Then I swore. Also because I was happy.

and we COULD NOT be happier that we’re having a BOY!! Although I had felt like it was a girl from the beginning, I soooo wanted it to be a boy.

It was the most amazing experience watching this baby during the ultrasound. He stuck his tongue out, yawned, moved it’s hand a lot, curled up into a little ball. I was on such an emotional high, I didn’t even care about the sex after that.

I can only hope this baby is a mini Ben. I’m totally serious.

Just 21 more weeks until we get to meet this little guy!!
