About a week back I had the privilege of attending a beautiful birthday celebration for miss Kelley up in Napa. As you can see, there wasn’t a detail overlooked. With Kelley’s eye and Erin’s skill, this table was a stunner in my book.
When I first arrived, I went straight over to the kitchen to let them know about my allergies. I’m always amazed with how kind and understanding people, especially Chefs can be.
Our incredible Chef, Tyson Greenwood, who’s Tyler Florence’s main man absolutely rocked the menu. No surprise there. I still can’t stop thinking about the beet salad and the bean dish. They were both beyond anything I’ve ever had before. Trust me on this one.
I asked Tyson about how he deals with allergies being that it’s becoming such a big deal. He understands how serious allergies can be and also being in the customer service industry, you’ve got to be willing to adapt and make changes. I wanted to give him a hug.
Can we take a moment to admire this GORGEOUS arrangement. Perfection.
Once the sun went down, we lit candles that hung just above the table. It got pretty chilly so we all bundled in blankets while be enjoyed the meal and each other’s company. It was quite romantic, actually.
Next to each place setting was a bottle of cucumber vodka and strawberry cocktail base – a takeaway for each guest. The Mr. and I added a little champagne and loved it. Such a fun idea if you’re hosting a party.
It’s a good thing I don’t have a big sweet tooth. I like how I say that after I have my hand in a bag of raisinettes. They don’t even sit well, yet I still keep eating them. Right, back to the desserts. Everyone raved about them, especially the pink cake [not pictured].
My favorite part, the display of desserts on this old wooden desk.
Love these ladies!
