Fresh Strawberry, Apple & Lime Juice
Print Recipe
Juice Week || Day 1 || Strawberry Apple Lime
It’s been a weekend filled with food, wine and well. . . more food and wine. Always signs of a good weekend, especially when it’s spent with great people.
With Spring just around the corner and thinking I’m not alone on the whole eating and drinking thing, I figured now’s a good time to for a week of juicing.
Don’t get me wrong. This is not a “juice only”, but something to add into your daily [or weekly] regime. I like food way too much to give that up.
I have my juice either first thing in the morning with my breakfast or late afternoon. Too get the full benefit, it’s best to consume immediately after juicing, but since we all live busy lives, you can store in an airtight container, in the fridge and up to 3 days – max.
Right now Whole Foods has a great deal on strawberries. They’re also at the market, looking picture perfect.
This was actually my first time juicing strawberries and definitely not the last. This combination of strawberries, apple and lime is practically summer bottled in a jar. It’s one of my favorites and could drink this every day. Too bad I can’t get this on tap. That would be awesome.
You can read more about the benefit of juicing and also the difference between juicing and blending, here.
Recommended juicers
- Breville [or this one]
- Cuisinart
- Waring Juicer – Inexpensive, but gets the job done
In case you’re curious, here are the mason jars I use to both drink, and store my juices in. They fit perfectly in cup holders, handbags and don’t take up much room in the fridge. Ah, me and my love for jars.
Happy Market Monday!
