DIY Breakfast Cereal Print Recipe Print Recipe

Cereal is my weakness.

Sometimes my husband & I have cereal nights. We both buy a box, or two of our favorite cereal and have it for dinner and then for dessert.

It’s also something I eat when stressed out. That and a bag of chips.

I decided a while back to make my own cereal, rather than buying the processed stuff. Depending on what you’re in the mood for, you can toss it in whatever sounds good at that moment. Like chocolate chips or maybe some dried fruit.

You can make a big batch ahead of time and store in a large airtight container or make when you please.

Back to the stress. . . still no computer. I’ve got every finger and toe crossed that it comes back by or before the weekend, that way I can be back to my posting schedule next week. Thank you all for having patience with me and hopefully you’re all still hanging in there. One positive out of all this, I realized just how much I love blogging. I do, it makes me really really happy.

psst… would *love* your VOTE to send me to Mexico to be the blogger corespondent at the Ixtapa Food & Wine Festival.  Many many thank yous! Vote HEREGood news, you can vote daily!

Mmm, that looks so good! Cereal is one of my favourite foods, but I will not let myself have it because once I eat one bowl, I just can’t stop!

I’m a big fan of homemade breakfast cereal, that way I can control what goes in and stay away from processed foods. A little cinnamon is always a nice touch too!

Cereal is definitely one of my weaknesses as well. I love the idea of combining all the different ingredients to make your own cereal – wouldn’t have thought of this! I always just turn to granola – delicious but gets old after a while. Your photos are gorgeous as always!

  • Michelle

  • susanna

  • Emily @ Glitz Glam Granola

I love cereal too- so much that I actually cut myself off a few years ago because I never could stop at just 1 bowl! Now I’ll add granola to my greek yogurt but that’s as much cereal as I usually eat. I love this idea of making your own museli though! Sounds great!

Yes, I enjoy cereal as well… one of my favorite additions is leftover cooked quinoa. And in cool weather I heat my almond milk. Okay, time for a bowl!

  • Vanilla & Rose

This looks amazing! I’ll definitely be giving it a try and soon 🙂
