Riesling Strawberry Slushies
Print Recipe
I’m fully aware that it’s not summer, but when it’s 80 degrees and strawberries are still front and center at Whole Foods, I’m left with no choice. It’s popsicles, ice coffee and these, Riesling strawberry slushies.
Forget the straw, give me a spoon.
a BIG spoon.
If you’ve already moved right into Fall, it’s okay. There’s no rules for when you can or cannot enjoy an alcoholic drink, if you ask me. You can always replace this with frozen strawberries, or berries of choice. I bet this could be good with watermelon or honeydew.
How perfect would these be for a baby or bridal shower??
Not only is this eat-straight-out-of-the-bowl worthy, but it’s SUPER duper easy! I’m practically in love with everything about this drink.

- 2 1/2 cups hulled strawberries
- 1 bottle [750ml] dry Riesling
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
Directions
Reserve 1 cup of the Riesling – cover and place in the fridge to chill.
In a food processor, puree strawberries with the remaining wine, lime juice and sugar. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When you’re ready to serve [or drink], puree the ice cubes with the remaining wine in your blender.
