Go ahead, smear that baby with some of that cinnamon sugar butta love. this is not a time to by shy. please.
and this is how I say I love you.
butter + cinnamon & sugar mix + bread, toasted = happiness. and if you’re like me, a little walk down memory lane.

Cinnamon & Sugar Toast Recipe
[adapted by The Pioneer Woman]
- sandwich bread of your choice – I use Udi’s Gluten-free sandwich bread
- 1 stick salted butter, softened OR 1/2 cup of Earth Balance
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- pinch [or 1/8 teaspoon] ground nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a bowl, mash the butter with a fork a few times. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg – mix until well combined.
Using a toaster, toast the bread for half the amount of time – this helps crisp up the insides.
[Generously] spread on slices of bread with your butter mixture, making sure to cover the entire surface.
Place your buttered toast on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. To caramelize, change setting to broiler [low] and broil until it’s a nice golden brown and yes, it will begin to bubble, but be careful, it will burn if it’s in for more than a few minutes.
Remove, cut diagonally – tastes better that way, I’m convinced and enjoy!
