Healthy “Limeade” Smoothie Print Recipe Print Recipe

I’ve been traveling, what feels like all summer long and all I want right now is vegetables and this smoothie. and… maybe a small bite of something sweet. . .

When I’m not traveling, I drink this at least 4-5x a week, either for breakfast, post workout or late afternoon pick me up. I love it. With all the limes and ice cubes, it’s incredibly refreshing and you’d never even know it wasn’t sweetened with fruit.

Are you familiar with the pH Miracle? It’s all about balancing the alkaline levels in the body be, which can be done through diet, supplements and alkaline water – higher pH. For instance, when the body is more acidic, it can be more susceptible to diseases or illnesses. In the past [when I was sick], I incorporated this diet into my daily lifestyle. If you’re interested, I can share more of my recipes which fit within this alkaline “diet”.  Yes?  No? Maybe so. . .

Look at all that green!

Don’t be scared. Really.

Healthy Green “Limeade” Smoothie Recipe

PRINT Recipe

  • 1/2 english cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach
  • 3-4  limes, peeled  (adjust to desired amount)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • liquid stevia to taste [or honey, agave, or sweetener of choice]
  • 6-8 ice cubes

In blender, add cucumber, avocado, spinach, lime [all three, but peeled], cinnamon, stevia, ice and  blend on high until smooth.

If it’s too think,  I’ll add about 1/2 cup of cold water.

Once it’s all blended, pour into a large glass and enjoy!

Sometimes I just feel cooler when I drink out of my “roadie” cup and with a straw.

I can’t wait to try this! It sounds wonderful. I’ve been drinking Eternal Water for 2 years now & can’t drink any other bottled water. It’s naturally alkaline (ph of 8). I’m slowly trying to take the acidity out of my daily diet. I’d love to know more & try your recipes! Thank you for sharing!

p.s. I was at the HWTM launch party too! 🙂

I’m really hooked on smoothies at the moment, so this recipe hit a home run. But I wonder, what is liquid stevia? Never heard of it… Or know where to get it.

  • Jasmine

This was awesome! Loved it! I was really worried thinking it would be gross, but this is better than some fruit smoothies i’ve had. GREAT way to get your veggies in!

  • Lauryn Doll

I never thought of the cinnamon part, but it’s intriguing and seems like it would be a good thing. 🙂

I did this, minus the cinnamon – added some unsweetened frozen fruit and it’s good. The stevia has this… aftertaste I don’t care for but otherwise, this is a great smoothie to experiment with and enjoy.

My husband is out of town, so I decided this was a perfect night to make your “green” smoothie! It is soooo good!!! Thank you! Perfect way to get veggies and perfect for a light dinner!

I am a pescetarian and I am always looking for something healthy. This was right up my alley, I tried it and it was so good! I used pineapple juice to sweeten and a little honey.Only thing is peeling the limes is such a pain so I got lazy and left the pulpy parts, so there is a lot of pulp. but it is still delicious. Thanks for the great recipe! 😉

  • yellie
