{Valentines Day} Red Velvet Cupcakes Print Recipe Print Recipe

Red velvet on Valentines Day is like beer on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s just not complete without the other.

I made these {oh.my.goodness. amazing} red velvet cupcakes for Kim over The TomKat Studio, where you can find the complete post + recipe. If you’ve never seen her work, you must check out The TomKat Studio – then come back. Kim was one of the first people I “met” when I started blogging and small world, we both came from the world of advertising. Looking for cupcakes toppers? She’s your girl! Get use to seeing her name around here – wink wink. That was a hint in cause you missed that. And now I’m going to be that girl and make you wait (just a bit) before we can share the big news.

If you hadn’t noticed, I got a little excited with my heart shaped cookie cutter…

Just to make sure we’re clear, heart shaped food is different than heart shaped jewelry, right? I do not like heart shaped jewelry. Don’t worry, we can still be friends if you’re a fan, I just can’t do it. Sorry, I just felt the need to be honest. Thank you, I feel much better.

What are you Valentines Day plans? Baking or cooking up anything good?

Happy Valentines Day!

Those cupcakes look so yummy. I didn’t get a chance to have anything ‘red velvet’ yesterday, although my favorite brunch spot was serving up hot red velvet pancakes… tempting.

And I’m with you on the heart shaped jewelry. It always reminds me of Kay’s open heart collection, which a friend-of-a-friend got as a tattoo thinking it was a Tiffany & co design – priceless! Haha!

Yummy! I’m not much of a baker (I just enjoy the product) so my heart-shaped things consisted of eggs 🙂

Just catching up on my blogs now. Love this dessert.

I totally agree with you about heart-shaped food. We received two different sized heart cookie cutters as wedding favors at a friend’s wedding this past summer. I’d planned on making heart-shaped cakes but the melted ganache centers were a little more gooey than I anticipated.
