Just a few key ingredients for a backyard BBQ… Well, there was also corn-on-the-cob, chips & salsa (all color coordinated, of course) but feeding intoxicated and hungry boys, those pictures didn’t stand a chance. It was a go-with-the-flow, keep drinking your wine type of BBQ for me, the party planner. For dessert, I baked a low-fat plum cobbler, which I’ll share in a later post, but it was delicious even without the butter or heavy cream. My challenge with this BBQ was making do with what we had. Aside from the food, my only purchase were the blue tin cans that I found at Target for only $1 + convincing my husband that I would use them again… score!
Sliders: ground beef mixed with chopped onions, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion salt, s+p. BBQ hamburger patties & allow your guests build their own slider(s). Homemade sweet & baked potato fries: olive oil and s+p. Bake 425 F for 45-60 min. Corn: husk or no husk, just throw it on the BBQ. Margaritas: Tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, agave nectar, Cointreau & a splash of margarita mix & Grand Marnier. Cheers!
